Karl Lagerfeld designs for Barbie & Ken

The House of Chanel and their leading designer Karl Lagerfeld joined the major celebrations marking Barbie’s 50th birthday.

He commissioned a special Barbie and Ken exhibit in the windows of Colette in Paris. Lagerfeld dressed Barbie in some of his signature gloves, top fashion shoes and elegant Chanel dresses.

In the photoshoot made to mark the event, Barbie poses in swimsuit, cocktail dresses, jeans and wedding dress striking a sexy pose alongside Chanel model Baptiste Giabiconi as Ken.

Man, though Barbie is 50, I’m kind of envious of her, he’s so cute. Barbie is 50, he’s no more than 25, looks like Madonna and Jesus Luz. Oh Gosh!

Back to the point. The exhibition will be on display from March 9th to March 28th along with the very first Barbie dolls made 50 years ago.

I love the way Barbie looks in Karl Lagerfeld’s gowns. She’s so chic and so elegant. Barbie knows how to get old gracefully!
