GQ Men of the Year Awards

GQ’s annual party is the place to get totally different people together to pick their awards. From President-elect Barack Obama to Hollywood’s sexiest starlet Megan Fox, Leonardo DiCaprio and Michael Phelps, noted actor, newsmakers, athletes received awards and glammed up the red carpet at the Chateau Marmont on November, 18.

It’s worth noting that the awards party was practically the boy party with Megan Fox being the only female award winner receiving the GQ Obsession of the Year for her popularity amongst male readers of the magazine. Megan attended the glam even with her fiance Brian Austin Green (Beverly Hills 90210) wearing a strapless tight hugging pink dress.

US President-elect Barack Obama received the GQ Game Changer award. He also covered the mag’s December issue cover.

Leonardo Dicaprio was awarded Leading Man of the Year for his role in the upcoming film Revolutionary Road. I’m trying to take after Leo, said HSM heart-throb Zac Efron, who was one of the youngest guests of the night.

Fellow actor Aaron Eckhart was honored with the Villain of the Year award for his role in The Dark Knight.

Jon Hamm (Mad Men) received the GQ Breakout of the Year, while Sean Penn was named GQ Drama Queen, James Franco was named Screen Idol, and John Malkovich received the Mad Genius award this year.

Transporter 3 hottie Jason Statham was awarded Action Man for his role in Death Race and The Bank Job.

Olympian genius Michael Phelps was named Golden Boy at the awards ceremony. Seth MacFarlane was honored Mogul of the Year.

Gordon Ramsay received probably the most unflattering award of the night, Prick of the Year. Obviously, he didn’t show up to pick the award.

The event was attended by a number of A-listers. Russel Brand, Rosario Dawson, Twilight star Nikki Reed, model-turned-actress Jamie King, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, comedian Kathy Griffin, Sarah Silverman, The OC star Adam Brody posed for paps on the GQ redcarpet.
