Eminem leads 2011 Grammys with 10 nominations
The Recording Academy announced 2011 Grammy Awards nominees last night during “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! – Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night”, a one-hour special broadcast live from Club Nokia at L.A. Live.
According to the Academy, Eminem tops the 2011 Grammys nominees list with 10 nominations, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, among others.
This year’s nominations are a true reflection of an exceptional and talented community of music makers that embody some of the highest levels of excellence and artistry in their respective fields,” The Recording Academy President Neil Portnow said in his statement.
Following in Eminem’s steps, Bruno Mars has seven noms; Jay-Z, Lady Antebellum, and Lady GaGa each earned six nods, while Katy Perry and Rihanna have four nominations. Teens’ favorite Justin Bieber has also scored two nominations in the Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album categories. Congrats Justin!
The 53rd annual Grammy Awards will be held on February 13, 2011 at Staples Center in La and broadcast live on CBS.
