7 ugly dresses from 2010 MET Gala
While the annual MET Costume Institute Gala is considered a kind of fashion Oscars, these seven dresses look more like fashion Razzie nominees.
The Gala Benefit celebrating the new exhibition ‘American Woman – Fashioning a National Identity‘, was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan on Monday night with these seven ladies turn up to mock both fashion, style and common sense.
Here they are.
Never thought one could look ugly in a Chanel. Kristen Stewart proved me wrong. This black dress with a lacy finish didn’t really flatter her.
Besides, there was something wrong with her face – her attempts to smile looked ridiculous.
What the hell is wrong with Maggie Gyllenhaal’s boobs? I see her as a younger version of Nanny McPhee – unflattering ‘do, gothic make up, ugly Louis Vuitton dress, and something wrong with her assets.
Eva Mendes, the mermaid-meets-flower-bed lady in a Dolce & Gabbana
This is one of the wildest looks of the night. Chloe Sevigny opted for a neon teal lace dress by Proenza Schouler that looked cheap, to say the least.
I don’t mean to say I don’t like Sarah Jessica Parker’s Halston dress. It’s ok though a little bit plain for the occasion. What drives me crazy is her head piece. Is it a cry for attention?
The sexiest woman alive Christine Hedricks showed her show-stopping curves in a body-hugging L’Wren Scott gown. The dress is fine but for the strange feather decoration. Seems like some tiny animal died right on her shoulder.
And here comes Katy Perry. Her illuminating dress looks fashion-forward and cool but I ‘m still undecided what I think about it. All I know is that I like the side slit. That’s the best part of the glowing-in-the-dark ensemble.
