Christine Solomon. She is unknown to the masses but her acting talent and drive for making her dreams come true deserve attention. Glamour Vanity makes an exception and creates this young actress’s profile placing it among high profiles. I believe she’s worth it. Meet Christine for the first time. GlamourVanity Exclusive!
An established trained actor; Christine Solomon is of Egyptian, Syrian and Lebanese ethnicity; born in Egypt but raised in Montreal from age seven. She is fluently trilingual actor-model-dancer, a member of The Egyptian Actor’s Union. She has performed in a wide range of productions across Canada, United States and Egypt.
Growing up, Christine was exposed to various styles of acting and different cultural & genres of films. Here, she was introduced to various actors who later became amongst her biggest influences, including Sherihane, Aamir Khan, Jackie Chan, Michael Cain and Johnny Depp.
Christine has been a performer since her tender years and took up gymnastics at the age of eight and thrived from the very beginning until the age of twelve. She began modeling at the age of thirteen after winning several competitions among them are at The International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) and Model Search America; she felt a strong pull toward acting and dancing.
Her drama teacher encouraged her to audition for the theatre program at Dawson College. After auditioning one hundred and seventy candidates that day, the faculty only selected eighteen applicants, including Christine Solomon.
During her first year in theatre, her instructors and directors were consistently impressed and amazed at the level of diligence and professionalism that she presented. This helps to explain why, despite the fact that first year students were barred from performing on stage, a second year director chose Christine to perform in his play.
In addition to her theatre degree, Christine has also obtained training at the John Strasberg Studios, at the Arthur Murray Dance School, the Groundlings and at the Debbie Reynolds Studios. She has been previously trained by Robert Miano, a well-established actor and coach in Hollywood; who has worked with Al Pacino, Johnny Depp and Burt Reynolds.
Christine shows a strong support for the Breast Cancer Foundation and Make Poverty History. She has already performed at several benefit concerts which helps raise money for Cancer Research.
Christine chooses to pursue her dream as a working actor. She explains, “I don’t believe in giving up; if we give up too quickly, we’ll never find out how close we were to reaching our objectives”. A passionate theory to live by.
Look for Christine Solomon in more preeminent roles in the near future. As of June 2009 Christine had landed a principal part on a Canadian film called Fakers playing a smart exotic dancer. The movie was being filmed in Montreal. It’s directed by Pierre Gill and produced by Cite-Amerique. Fakers is set to hit theatres in spring 2010.
Christine told GlamourVanity.com exclusively that apart from Fakers she’s also busy with making calendars for 2010, opening her own acting career consultancy and writing her third book self titled How to Develop an Acting Career In Montreal.
Christine is a young actress with great potential. She is an established trained actor who is of Egyptian, Syrian and Lebanese ethnicity; born in Egypt but raised in Montreal from age seven. She is fluently trilingual actor-model-dancer, a member of The Egyptian Actor’s Union. She has performed in a wide range of productions across Canada, United States and Egypt.
GlamourVanity is lucky to get an exclusive interview with Christine!
Let me start with a compliment, Miss Solomon! You have exotic features – wow, Egyptian, Syrian and Lebanese, you are pretty. Which one of these hot bloods plays more in you?
Firstly I would like to thank you for the great compliment! Although I am of mixed nationalities I must say I am more familiar with the Egyptian culture. Frankly, it is quite disappointing to know that I am not as acquainted with Syria and Lebanon as I am with Egypt. But rest assured I have great plans of visiting these beautiful countries that are a part of me.
Where do you feel your home is? To which of the countries you feel your heart belongs to?
Although Egypt is my country of birth, Canada is my home. I grew up in the city of Montreal where I experienced my greatest childhood and adolescence memories. Montreal is absolutely where my heart is.
You are an achiever. What is your biggest drive, Christine?
My greatest motivation is seeing others achieve their dreams and realizing that we can all fulfill our biggest goals. I should also add that negative criticism only gives me strength to pursue my overall objectives. So for all those who think that negative criticism only makes them weaker, you have the power to turn it around and make it the most positive experience of your life.
What’s your destination in this life? Do you have a message to tell those young beautiful talented people out there, and there are many, but they don’t all get there where you are. What is the secret of not giving up and reaching dreams?
Serenity is key to living a harmonious life. My biggest destination in life is to find serenity and peace in everything I do and every decision I make.
Nothing is difficult to reach in life when you put your heart and mind to it. Giving up should never be an issue. One should always step out of the scene and reflect on what is important to them.
You are professional actress. There are many who come into Hollywood scene without having obtained their skills within acting schools. Do you think it is a highly necessary thing to get educated in Arts in order to become a legendary actor?
In order to become a successful actor, one should know that it takes more than just great looks and charm. It is a mix of ingredients necessary for not only the survival but mainly for the success of the actor. Education is definitely an important aspect, along with luck, determination, perseverance and connections will always help. I should add that I feel very strongly about promoting oneself as an actor. Promotion is crucial in this career we call “Show Business”.
There are many actors turned entrepreneurs. Is there a project you have passion for?
Writing has always been a passion of mine. As a matter of fact I am currently writing my third book. My latest book talks about ways for actors and actresses to promote themselves in the entertainment business.
I have also always wanted to own a production company and who knows perhaps one day I will obtain my own clothing line as fashion is always a great passion of mine.
Talking about projects, which brand would you most likely associate yourself with? If you were proposed to become a face of a fashion house, what would it be? Name it.
I really like Chanel’s timelessness and sophistication and would be an honor to represent such a company.
Who is your favorite designer?
There are too many but to name a few….Karl Lagerfeld, Hermes, Roberto Cavalli, Moschino, Mui Mui and Michael Kors.
You dance. What do you dance?
Music is my escape. Dancing helps me deal with life in a different matter. I have been practicing modern jazz for many years now.
In one of you interviews, you said knowledge is sexy… Send your message to our readers. There are tons of sexy people out there who forget that there’s something more into success than just the looks.
Knowledge is the most powerful tool in a human being’s life. People’s looks can only take them so far, the rest is up to them…

I have been browsing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be a lot more useful than ever before.
