‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’ singer announced he will be stepping out of the spotlight to devote himself to his two sons. His rep said:

In recent weeks, Ricky Martin became a proud father by the birth of twin sons. The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky’s full-time care. Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children.”

Ricky Martin has been a long-time children’s rights advocate. He established The Ricky Martin Foundation to advocate for the welfare of children around the world. He’s also a Goodwill Ambassador to UNICEF. Once he also said he really wanted children and even planned to adopt.

As for his next studio album? No sooner than 2009, sorry. Children go first.

   i understand when u adopt children who were left by their real parents, but to give birth to the children in one – parent family on purpose! what’s the fun? for the left children that’s great to be adopted even by one parent, but Ricky can’t u get some girl and have your own children with her. at least they could know what’s the mother and father love is!
