Oh, Dear, How You’ve Matured!

The US President Barack Obama may call his eldest daughter Malia Obama my baby, but it’s clear that the teenager is growing up too fast! At few recent appearances at festive events, Malia showed off an almost adult figure and pretty distinguishing height: she matches Michelle Obama’s 5ft 11in! I think that if she goes on growing so fast, she soon will catch up her dad’s 6 ft.

But Malia, unlike many teens shamed of their new height, doesn’t show any drop of awkwardness or embarrassment. Vice versa, she seems to like her adult look, and uses her pretty good-looking physique to dress up various girlish stuff. Definitely, Malia has inherited the First Lady’s sense of style and likes bold colors and statement prints.

Lol, it seems little sister Sasha is desperate to catch up Malia. For the Thanksgiving turkey last month, ten-year-old Sasha completed her look with metallic blue patent wedges. Ah, eternal sisters’ competition. But despite Malia still wears braces, a reminder that she is still only at early teenage years, she has started to use make-up; sure her stylish mom counsels her!

In an appearance on The View, Mrs Obama revealed:

We do a lot of talking. Sometimes it’s too much. After our… military families tour, I came in, it was 10.30 at night – we were beat, we did four cities in two days, and Malia’s like, “Ma, I need to talk to you.” And it was 10.30 and we talked. And we talked, and we talked. We talked about make-up, actually.”

So, Michelle Obama accepts Malia’s coming-of-age. But her dad seems to struggle the fact Malia’s growing up. He told while giving an interview last year:

Even though she’s 5ft 9in, she’s still my baby. And she just got braces, which is good, because she looks like a kid and she was getting … she’s starting to look too old for me.”

And Michelle admitted on The View.

He says he’s cool, but you know… The first time Malia went out for a party and she was dressed, she had her hair done and she’s tall, she had on a pretty dress, you could see him, he was sort of like… gulp. And I was like, “Easy,dad.””

Despite my bitc*y soul, I wouldn’t tell anything bad on this family. I think that they are normal family that manages to keep happy life. And as for Malia, I think that she’s really beautiful and can create an stunning model career in the future.
