Things may go really shitty when it comes to relationships but dumping your girlfriend of two years on her birthday eve, that’s too much Tony!

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo and his singer-actress girlfriend Jessica Simpson called it quits on Thursday night, July 9, right before her birthday.

According to People Magazine, Jess is absolutely “heartbroken” at the break-up.

She loves Tony. But it’s been difficult lately,” the source reported. “He’s busy with his career and she’s getting ready to shoot her show [The Price Of Beauty]. They decided to part ways.”

US Weekly said the couple had been fighting lately and the break-up was just the matter of time as it was “always something with Jessica.”

Being devastated by the news, Simpson cancelled her Barbie And Ken themed b-day celebration. Poor thing.

The day after her birthday, Simpson tweeted she loved “GETTING OLDER” alone…
