Tony Parker caught cheating with a mutual friend, Eva Longoria files for divorce

Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria filed for divorce from her husband of three years Tony Parker yesterday morning citing irreconcilable differences as the main reason for divorce.

She filed the papers just one day after it was reported Tony had filed for divorce in Texas, and Eva’s rep was quick to deny the reports saying the couple were not spliting.

However, it’s been revealed Tony Parker has been cheating on Eva Longoria for more than a year with their mutual friend and wife of his former teammate Erin Barry, who’s currently divorcing, too. Eva told her good pal Mario Lopez that she had found “hundreds of text massages” on Tony’s phone. Tony Parker had to admit the affair when Eva confronted him.

She is devastated, she wants us all to know that. But she’s strong,” Mario Lopez said about his friend.

Later in the day Eva Longoria took to her Twitter to announce the divorce:

It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness,” Eva wrote in her tweet.

According to insiders, Eva Longoria is “heartbroken” by the betrayal.

Once the trust was lost, the marriage was over,” an insider told US Weekly. “Eva truly thought she was going to grow old with Tony and have children with him. She’s inconsolable.”

Eva and Tony’s alleged mistress Erin Barry knew each other very well, they even spent Christmas together in Eva’s Beso restaurant two years ago. In her interview with Mario Lopez Eva also confessed that this case wasn’t the first time she had caught Tony Parker red-handed – he had also cheated on her early in their marriage.

Meanwhile, sources say that even though there was texting between Tony Parker and Erin Barry there was no romantic relationship between them.

Tony is begging for forgiveness,” an insider told E! Online. “But Eva is heartbroken. He was caught red-handed.”

Some sources say that it’s too early for the divorce as there was nothing romantic, sexual or intimate in the text messages between Tony Parker and Erin Barry – they were simply leaning on each other as their marriages went through troubles. They say it’s all about jealousy right now.

In the court papers Eva Longoria filed yesterday she stated she was seeking spousal support and requested her name to be restored to Eva Jacqueline Longoria.

Eva Longoria and Tony Parker married on July 6, 2007 at a very lavish ceremony in France. The couple got engaged in November 2006 after dating for three years.
