I actually thought they would marry some time soon, especially after the resurfacing rumors Jake was going to propose this Christmas.

Another fairy-tale-like Hollywood relationship is history. Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon have called it quits, for good this time.

The beautiful couple have been together since 2007 with marriage/engagement rumors surfacing every now and then while the couple kept mum on their decisions.

The break-up report was first spread by GossipCop.com and later confirmed by JustJared.com that stated the couple’s split “was mutual and amicable.”

Reese and Jake took a break last month and then got back together to split for good. So sad.
