Prince William, fiancee Kate Middleton set the date for royal wedding

The newly engaged couple, Prince William and Kate Middleton, have set the date for the beautiful and one of a kind royal wedding. The highly-anticipated event will be held on April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London.

William and Kate have chosen Westminster because it’s where Queen Elizabeth II and her mother married. William has dismissed the possibility of wedding at St George’s Chapel, where his parents Prince Charles and Lady Diana exchanged vows in 1981.

I’m sure wedding preparations have already begun as it’s going to be one of the biggest events in the British calendar next year. Talking about calendars, the wedding will be held on Friday and if the day is made into a holiday, the Brits will have a four day weekend as Monday, May 2nd is a national holiday in the country.

Prince William and Kate Middleton announced their engagement last week. Prince proposed to Kate with Lady Diana’s engagement ring while on vacation in Kanye in October.

I always say that the most important thing about wedding preparations is choosing the wedding dress. Guess what, Kate Middleton has already picked the designer to make her dream wedding gown!
