Meet Katy Perry’s New Boyfriend: Baptiste Giabiconi

Last week pictures of Chanel model Baptiste Giabiconi, walking within arm’s length of the smurf-haired popstrel Katy Perry at Paris’s Eurostar terminal, made pretty many headlines. Well, it turns out that was no chance encounter, as a representative for Giabiconi has confirmed the two are definitely an item. Giabiconi’s rep confirmed the relationship with the whipped cream shooting pop starlet as well:

It’s new, they’re feeling it out, but they’re spending a lot of time together.”

As if that wasn’t enough excitement, the fast-moving celebrities are making all kinds of plans. The source continued:

He’s considering moving to LA, at least for some time. He’s really focusing on his music career from France, but he’s always travelling for his modelling career.”

Said modelling career involves walking in shows for Chanel and posing for Dior Homme. The former sees Giabiconi desiring to launch a successful singing career in the same vein of his new love interest, Perry. But like his spokesperson said, he’s concentrating on that “from France” – not exactly the epicentre of the pop music world as we know it.

But who knows, this relationship could be a beautiful thing for both parties. Giabiconi could help mend Perry’s broken heart – her divorce from British comedian Russell Brand will be finalised this summer – while she can teach him a thing or two about making a decent pop tune. On the other hand, perhaps he can teach her about fashion, that would perhaps be the most beneficial outcome for all concerned. And Katy needs a stylist!

Baptiste Giabiconi’s rep confirmed that the French model and singer is dating Katy Perry!

Stop! I remembered I read a mag where Giabiconi told:

If I could make her divorce her husband, I’d marry her.”

Sounds like someone is trying to make his dream come true!
