Some old saying reads, those who can’t teach become teachers, well if we draw some kind of analogy we can say that those who can’t write become writers. Right, Lauren?

The Hills star Lauren Conrad has presented the cover of her first novel, L.A. Candy, that’s to be released on June 16 this year.

Lauren signed the many-figure deal with Harper Collins last September and is to write three novels. So L.A. Candy is her test of the pen.

The book’s plot is far from original, but what else could we ever expect from someone from The Hills? Anyway, L.A. Candy tells the story of 19 yo Jane Roberts who “moves to L.A. and unexpectedly becomes the star of a reality television show.”

The books will be loosely inspired by my own experience and are definitely influenced by my own life. Some of the characters may symbolize people in my life, but it is in no way calling anyone out… I’ve always loved books that I could lose myself in, ones that would transport me to another place, but had characters I could relate to. So, I’m so excited to have this opportunity to write books like that for other readers,” Conrad said.

“Roberts can’t wait to start living it up,” the official book synopsis says. “She may be in L.A. for an internship, but Jane plans to play as hard as she works and has enlisted her BFF Scarlett to join in the fun.” The two join a reality version of Sexy and the City.

If you read this book you’ll know “what it’s like to come of age in Hollywood while starring in a reality TV show, written by a girl who has experienced it all firsthand.”

Excited? I don’t think so.

The only thing that can probably be intriguing about Lauren’s book is some dirty details about her frenemies and BFFS from The Hills. But, alas:

I’m not trying to do a fictional story based on all my friends in my real life because their stories aren’t really mine to tell. Some of the characters may symbolize people in my life, but it is in no way calling anyone out,” Conrad told People back in September.
