Time Magazine: Lady GaGa is the most influential
Pop culture phenomenon Lady GaGa is included into Time Magazine’s list of Most Influential People In The World.
Lady tops the list of most influential artists and has the second highest networking index that is based on the number of her Twitter followers and Facebook connections.
According to Time and their guest editor Cyndi Lauper who wrote about GaGa, the singer tops the list being so young, barely 24, being in the age when it’s hard to navigate her life in the spotlight.
Lady Gaga’s art captures the period we’re in right now,” Lauper continues. “Gaga’s lyrics are incredibly literary. When ‘Bad Romance’ starts, the music grabs your ear immediately. Then she opens with the line ‘I want your ugly/ I want your disease,’ and all of a sudden you’re listening. Most of the stuff on the radio is not very clever, but Gaga presents her ideas in a sophisticated manner. She has an incredible pop sensibility.”
Cyndi also refers to Lady GaGa as “a performance artist. She herself is the art.”
