T.I sentenced

Don’t be dreaming of seeing T.I. for the next one year and one day beginning May 19. Rapper will be spending time in jail according to the court decision.

T.I. was sentenced on Friday for felony weapons charges stemming from his October 2007 arrest, MTV reports.

The plea deal requires T.I. to be subjected to a number of rigorous requirements after his release from prison, including an audit of his finances, drug counseling, DNA testing and random searches of his property, and he will not be able to own firearms.

He also has to complete 1,500 hours of community service before and after jail time as well as pay a $100,000 fine. According to court reports, T.I. has completed 1,030 hours of community service, not counting his MTV show T.I.’s Road to Redemption: The Reckoning that will air next Tuesday.

This has been the most insightful moment in my life,” T.I. said in his speech. “I’ve taken the great lesson from it and I will use it in my life. With that, I bid you adieu.”
