The Celebrity 100: Forbes’ most powerful celebrities of 2010

Forbes has released The Celebrity 100, an annual list of most powerful celebrities ranking them on the basis of their salaries, web rank, press rank, TV/radio rank and social rank.

Last year’s most powerful celebrity in the world, Angelina Jolie, has dropped to #18 this year, with the prime time mogul, Oprah Winfrey topping this year’s list. No wonder why, Oprah has made as much as $315 million last year!

According to Forbes.com:

News that this coming season of The Oprah Winfrey Show will be her last helped the self-made billionaire garner more media attention than any other member of the Celebrity 100.

Her Harpo production company, which spawned the careers of Dr. Phil, Rachel Ray and Dr. Oz, will introduce interior designer Nate Berkus this fall.

Months later, the list’s top-earner will add the lifestyle-themed Oprah Winfrey Network in partnership with Discovery Communications to her media empire.”

While Oprah is the topper, the likes of Lady GaGa, James Cameron, Sandra Bullock and Britney Spears have made it to the top 10 most powerful celebrities in the world:

8. Sandra Bullock
7. U2
6. Britney Spears
5. Tiger Woods
4. Lady GaGa
3. James Cameron
2. Beyonce
1. Oprah Winfrey

Twilight-mania has made it possible for Robert Pattinson (#50), Kristen Stewart (#66) and Stephenie Meyer (#59) to also be included into Celebrity 100.
