Team Xtina says Lady GaGa is a copycat, proves it

Round 2 of the old catfight. Meow

While Lady GaGa’s fans are sure Christina Aguilera is a cheap copycat of the extravagant diva, Team XTina is ready to fight back.

The fan-made photo collection chronicles Christina’s style and image evolution proving that she was the first to come up with crazy hairdos, lacy outfits and funky looks doing it all years before Lady GaGa hit the stardom.

The author claims there’s nothing original about GaGa‘s look, and that it has no meaning with it (my question, what was the meaning behind Aguilera’s crazy fashion, then, if not to impress and stun?)

But to be fair, the photo proof looks good. The guys had to do a lot of research to compile the collection.

UPDATE: On May 17, 2010 Christina turned to her website to address the GaGa comparison:

Dear Fans, I would like to take a moment to clarify something that has been brought to my attention this morning. It is very easy for comments to be taken out of context and create unnecessary drama-especially between us women. So I would like to tell you all directly so my words can not be misconstrued to sell someone else’s story…I have absolutely nothing against Lady Gaga or any other female artist in this business. I think she is great, and I appreciate any woman fearless enough to go against the norm. She has earned her success with hard work and a clear focus and I have nothing but respect for that. There is room for all of us on everyone’s iPods.”
