Stars are still smitten with pigs
George Clooney and his pig Max were the first to draw attention to the pig as a pet trend.
The latest to show her love of this kind of animals is actress Emma Thompson who arrived at the London premiere of Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang with a big curly pig that she led down the blue redcarpet.
Becoming the center of attention, the pig tried its best to evade flashlights and noise and left the carpet as soon as possible.
Everybody was smitten with the pig that surely stole the spotlight at the premiere.
Emma has reminded me of other celebs who have become huge pig fans especially after the micro-pig trend last year.
The likes of Harry Potter‘s Rupert Grint, Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, Danielle Steel, and Elizabeth Hurley all have micro pigs as pets. These adorable animals that grow to just 14in tall, are said to be very intelligent, lovely and easy to take care of.
Still, George Clooney’s 18-year old pig Max that died in 2006 is still the most famous celebrity pig of all. The animal was so close to the actor that it often slept in the same bed with him and accompanied the star on his every trip.
Pigs as celebrity pets – trendy or weird?
