Sandra Bullock enters New Orleans’ hall of fame
For somebody who’s so into Charity, entering this hall of fame is equal to getting inducted into the real Hall of Fame for somebody like Madonna.
Sandra Bullock has been helping rebuild New Orleans since the time devastating Hurricane Katrina destroyed much of the city.
She’s been particular charitable for New Orleans’ Warren Easton High School she started working with in 2005.
I feel honored to have been a very small part in the rebuilding of a city that I have loved since I discovered it, and like so many, have taken all it has to offer,” Bullock said, ETOnline.com reported. “It’s only right that I give back to ensure it has a future. And I have fortunately seen some of that future, graduate from Warren Easton.”
During her work on behalf of the school, Sandra has donated thousands of dollars to the school’s scholarship program, new band uniforms and the renovation of the school auditorium. The school’s Hall of Fame Committee also praises the actress’s work in drawing attention to the mission of public school education in post-Katrina New Orleans, the source added.
Sandra will be welcomed to the school’s hall of fame on May 15 during the special ceremony.
Ms. Bullock now officially joins A-listers on charity duty.
