Robert Pattinson looks boring on cover of Vanity Fair April 2011

Twilight‘s star Robert Pattinson is the new cover star of Vanity Fair April 2011 issue. The cover shoot shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz seems to be inspired by country life with Pattinson posing with an alligator for the cover photo. Even though he’s holding this big reptile and stuff, the cover still looks boring to me.

In his interview with the publication Robert talks about his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart (surprise, surprise), his new movie Water For Elephants (in theatres next month) and his fans.

The April issue of Vanity Fair with RPattz on the cover will hit newsstands on March 3 (NYC, LA) and nationally on March 8.

On his new favorite co-star, elephant Tai (Water For Elephants):

She was the best actor I ever worked with in my life. I cried when the elephant was wrapped. I never cried when anyone else was wrapped.”

On rumors he’s dating Kristen Stewart:

It’s just very traumatic. When [Twilight mania] is over the media will lose interest [in the relationship]. There’ll be nothing to say. It won’t fit into a headline anymore. It won’t fit into a template.”

On fans:

This thing with everyone knowing you … it’s weird, because people have this one-sided relationship where they look at your picture and feel they know you more than someone they actually know. I don’t really know myself that well.”

On his favorite TV shows:

I never change the channel in my trailer. I just watch reruns of House of Payne and Two and a Half Men. I love Cops – I think it’s my favorite TV show… God I sound like such a loser.”
