Robert Pattinson goes 19th century for Bel Ami

Here are the first pics of Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson going 19th century elegant for his latest movie Bel Ami in which he plays a young and ambitious Parisian journalist who climbs the social ladder by sleeping with well-connected women played by Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristen Scott Thomas.

The filming started in early February but the first pics were made in England. It’s Bel Ami to blame that we didn’t see R Pattz’s at this year’s Oscars, he was too busy shooting the flick in Europe to visit the glamorous LA event.

Rob looks cool in the old-fashioned garments. But did 19th century gentlemen also have four-day stubble?
