RIP Brittany Murphy
I still can’t believe she’s gone. Just Married actress Brittany Murphy passed away on Sunday morning in her LA home. She was 32.
Brittany who suffered from diabetics and allegedly had serious problems with prescription drugs just like Michael Jackson, was found by her mom unconscious in the shower at 8 am and was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center two hours later. She died from full cardiac arrest.
Brittany is survived by her British screenwriter husband Simon Monjack whom she married in May 2007. Ironically enough, in early December this year Murphy said she had major plans for the coming year, including starting a family with her husband.
So so sad.
Brittany Murphy first shot to fame in Clueless starring alongside Alicia Silverstone and Stacey Dash. Later she starred with Kirsten Dunst and Denise Richards in Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999); Girl, Interrupted (2000) with Angelina Jolie, Winona Ryder and Whoopi Goldberg. In 2001 she teamed up with Michael Douglas for Don’t Say A Word and played alongside Ashton Kutcher and Eminen in Just Married and 8 Mile in 2003.
The sudden loss of our beloved Brittany is a terrible tragedy. She was our daughter, our wife, our love and a shining star. We ask you to respect our privacy at this time,” Brittany’s family said via her rep, adding that her family thanked everyone for love and support.
