Rihanna is on speaking terms with Chris Brown again!

Reports claim, Rihanna and her ex Chris Brown are on speaking terms again after his emotional BET Awards performance.

According to MTV, Ri first called Chris Brown after the June 27th show and they’ve been in contact “ever since.” The contact means chatting on the phone as Chris is forbidden from getting anywhere near Rihanna for the next five years.

Seeing how emotional he was on set [at the BET Awards] really touched her. She’d never seen him like that before,” MTV quoted Heat Magazine. “It’s been almost a year since they last spoke, but Rihanna felt like she could try to be friends with Chris again.

Chris told her that he felt like he’s grown up in the past year. He’s said he’s so happy to be back in touch with her.

They were each other’s first love and he’s missed her so much. Rihanna knows that if he wanted him back, he’d be there in a second.”

Oh, give me a break! Hope Rihanna knows better than to get back with somebody who would beat her up in the past. Rihanna’s current boyfriend Matt Kemp seems so much better than Chris Brown.

MTV also reports that besides phone calls the two, Rihanna and Chris Brown, have also exchanged a few text messages. Rihanna is said to be “keen” to meet Brown face-to-face.

UPDATE: Rihanna’s rep denied the reports later in the day saying they were “not true.”
