Paris Hilton, Sarah Palin enter Oxford dictionary

The 28 yo heiress must be really pleased with herself. Paris Hilton has become a part of the latest edition of the Oxford Dictionary of Quotations adding her tad bit of celebrity wisdom to the list of well-known quotations belonging to the likes of Confucius, Thomas Jefferson, Winston Churchill ,Oscar Wilde, Mark Twain and others.

The 65th dictionary edition contains 20,000 new quotes and Paris has contributed her own. Check it out:

“Dress cute wherever you go, life is too short to blend in.”

Ms. Hilton is accompanied by former Alaska Governor and Vice-President Candidate Sarah Palin with her famous “pitfull” quote:

“What’s the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull? Lipstick.”

Barack Obama’s “The arc of history is long but it bends towards justice” is another new addition to the enormous quote-family.

Anything quoted today, verbally or “written” in electronic-form, can be and probably will be encountered by people all over the globe,” Elizabeth Knowles, editor of Oxford Dictionary of Quotations, said adding that data from online sources makes impact on the changes in the dictionary.
