My so far favorite PETA ad
DWTS contestant and Playboy model Joanna Krupa is your new PETA angel. Actually, it’s Krupa’s second ad for the organization but it’s the first featuring her and her dog Rugby.
Sporting nothing but angelic wings, Krupa looks really sexy in the ad photo, which PETA claims to be just a sneak peak of the “racier version” that will be released after Thanksgiving Day.
In her ad Joanna calls you to adopt animals from shelters rather than get them from pet stores and breeders.
“Save a life by adopting from an animal shelter, and always give your animal companions the love and care than they deserve,” reads the “Be an Angel for Animals: Always Adopt. Never Buy” ad.
A devoted animal lover, Joanna Krupa is set to lead the protest outside a pet store that sells dogs and puppies from breeders on Dec. 1st in LA.
We’re trying to spread the word that breeding isn’t the way to go,” the model said. “Somebody needs to put their foot down and stop this breeding and these puppy mills. …they’re in these little tiny cages, and all they’re doing is breeding their whole life. It makes me so angry that our government doesn’t do anything about it. So I am!”
UPDATE: The “racier photo” was revealed on December 1, 2009 causing a wave of protest from The Catholic League.
It’s understandable that the Catholic League is wary of another sex scandal, but the sex we’re talking about pertains to dogs and cats. As a practicing Catholic, I am shocked that the Catholic League is speaking out against my PETA ads, which I am very proud of,” Joanna addressed the photo controversy during the ad launch. “I’m doing what the Catholic Church should be doing, working to stop senseless suffering of animals, the most defenseless of God’s creation. I am a voice for innocent animals who are being neglected and dumped by the millions at shelters. In my heart I know that Jesus would never condone the suffering that results when dogs and cats are allowed to breed.”

It’s too bad that PETA is evil, because they always manage to get hot spokesmodels.
