Losing her battle with cancer – Jade Goody dies

I never watched this show but…. UK’s Big Brother star Jade Goody, 27, who shot to fame in 2002 and has been in the spotlight ever since, passed away of cervical cancer yesterday loosing her painful battle with the disease.

If you read British media you know that ever since fall 2008 not a day went by without some new piece of news about Jade and her condition. It was her own wish to live and die in front of the camera, literally. She never stopped shooting her reality show even when her condition deteriorated and she could hardly do without painkiller pills and was unable to get up from her bed.

You think it’s cruel and abnormal to see somebody let you watch her get closer to the finish line? Well, there was a worthwhile cause of its own kind. Jade’s highly publicized battle with cancer was her way to make sure her two sons would have good schooling and good life when she can’t take care of them anymore.

It’s pretty symbolic Jade died on Mother’s Day.

Jade died but there’s not a person in the world who’d say she wasn’t a brave girl who was a real fighter till the very end.

My thoughts are with Jade’s family and friends.
