Joel Madden is a noble humanitarian

1st Annual Noble Humanitarian Awards were held in Beverly Hills on Sunday night to honor charities and their celebrity supports.

Nicole Richie’s long time boyfriend and possible husband Joel Madden was honored with the gong for his work with The Art of Elysium, a non-profit organization that encourages working actors, artists and musicians to voluntarily dedicate their time and talent to children who are battling serious medical conditions.

The award was presented by Nicole Richie and her dad Lionel Richie. Family business, y’ all.

[Benji Madden and Nicole] are just as much a part of it,” Joel told People. “Nicole does just as much as I do with Art of Elysium and all the charities we work with. And so does [Benji]. He actually does more then I do, and he plays the guitar better then I do, so he is a little more entertaining for the kids.”

Nicole arrived at the show in a cream chiffon dress from Jasmine Di Milo debuting her beautifully toned post-baby body.

Art of Elysium isn’t the only charity project the Madden brothers are involved in. Last year their visited Africa as UNICEF Ambassadors.
