“I said I want to be a stripper”

World’s most recognized stripper of all times Dita Von Teese takes the Winter 2008/2009 cover of Citizen K magazine, as photographed by Sol Sanchez.

The 36-year-old burlesque beauty says:

When I was young, I was given advice for becoming rich and famous. I did neither. There are many women who want to be actresses or models, but nobody wants to be a great stripper. What I wanted was not to be like everyone else, so I said I want to be a stripper.”

Dita on her collection of lingerie:

I’m a crazy girl with an obsession for lingerie. It is not a question of seduction, but of femininity, which is very different.

Through fashion, you can be a flirt.”

Earlier this month, Dita Von Teese has vowed never to sleep with Russell Brand, despite the British comedian’s constant offers:

“I will not be having sex with Russell Brand. I was the subject of one of his calls once, but I didn’t answer the phone, thank goodness.”

“Just because I gave him my phone number doesn’t mean I’ll be going on a date with him.”

In return, Russell has spoken about his desire to have Dita Von Teese after meeting her at an Oscars party.

He said: “At the risk of looking inconvenient, I walked past her several times to the toilet to get her attention.”

She is a tease isn’t she?
