Celebrities caught voting!
Hollywood celebrities really made an impact on the presidential elections.
Take Paris Hilton who expects a thank you from Barack Obama for motivating the young voters – the registered number of which was the highest this election.
The youth of the United States that was blamed for apathy proved the opposite on Tuesday, November 4th. Obama won California’s 55 electoral votes, a big boost towards the 270 needed to win the presidency under the United States’ indirect system of electing a leader.
Here are some of the celebrities we caught voting! Adorable!
Making sure that she has her say in who was to become the next President of the United States, Kim Kardashian looked chic as she entered Temple Emanuelle in Beverly Hills.
Taking part in the 2008 Presidential election, Christina Aguilera was spotted out at a Beverly Hills polling station earlier on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Hayden Panettiere preferred to go undercover as she made her way to a West Hollywood voting station.
Beyoncé Knowles and her husband Jay-Z were joined by Mary J Blige, and P Diddy to Promote the Vote Rally on Dauphin Street and Susquehanna Avenue in Philadelphia, Pa.
Beyoncé on meeting the 44th President of the United States:
Everyone is excited and it’s time. I feel like we have grown so much as a nation and we will continue to grow because of Mr. Obama.
I have had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Obama, his wife and his children, and they are the American dream. They are so elegant, so classy, so intelligent and everything that I want to be. They make me really proud of my country.”
There are many more celebrities that had impact on the history’s most important election. Steven Spielberg, Matt Damon, Harrison Ford, Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz, Snoop Dogg, Ben Stiller, Zach Braff, Neil Patrick Harris, Scarlett Johansson and Shia Labeouf just to name a few.
Celebrities are smart people and aren’t all greedy bastards. They realize what’s good for them is not good for the country. Plus, the tax increases for the upper class under Obama aren’t going to be significant enough to make a difference in any of their lives.
As best put by JFK:
It’s not what your country can do for you; it’s what you can do for your country.”
