Audrina Patridge is PETA’s angel

The Hills star Audrina Patridge joined the line of celebs supporting PETA starring in their animal adoption ad that debuts today.

Audrina poses as an angel in a sexy white bikini holding her rescued shelter do, Speedy Gonzalez.

I wanted to get involved with PETA because I’ve always been passionate about animals, and I think this is a great way to make people and all my fans aware of all the animals that need a home,” Partridge said. “And a lot of people go to pet stores and breeders to buy their animals, but you should adopt, so go to an animal shelter and rescue a dog.”

The ad’s tagline is: “Be an Angel for Animals. Always Adopt, Never Buy.” “Buying animals means killing animals … Each year, six to eight million unwanted dogs and cats are turned in to shelters, and half are killed because there aren’t enough good homes.”

Besides encouraging people to take homeless animals from shelters rather than buying them, Audrina also urges pet owners to spay and neuter their cats and dogs to prevent unwanted births.

I love the pic, though Audrina’s face and body are so much photoshopped I can hardly recognize her. All I know for sure is that I’m smitten by her dog. Such a cutie.
