5 once-homeless celebrities

You’re not always rich and famous since the very beginning. Sometimes actors/actresses/singers/ TV personalities have to go through hell to achieve what they have now.

And no matter how strange it might sound, but some celebrities used to be homeless when just starting their careers or when still living with their families (it explains the all-celebrity love of big houses).

Here are 5 celebrities you didn’t know once were bums:

Sylvester Stallone

As you may know Stallone had his big screen debut in an adult movie The Party at Kitty and Studs (1970). Before this movie he used to sleep at the Port Authority bus station for three weeks until he was cast to play in the film where he earned $100/day.

Daniel Craig

When he was young, ambitious, but unfortunately not famous, Daniel Craig used to sleep on a bench in a London park. James Bond sleeping in a park… that’s beyond my imagination!

Hilary Swank

Oscar winner Hilary Swank used to live in a car when she and her mom moved to LA from Washington State. When Hilary was 15 she would sleep on an air mattress on the floor of a friend’s vacant house.
Looking for auditions, Hilary Swank and her mom used a pay phone to book meetings.

Things have changed greatly since 1989.

Sam Worthington

Nobody really knew Sam Worthington before Avatar. In his interview earlier this year Sam confessed he had to live in a car before he was cast to star in the James Cameron-directed film that’s become the highest grossing movie of all time.

Halle Berry

One of the most beautiful actresses in the world, Oscar-winner and sexy mother of one Halle Berry once had to live in a shelter when she just arrived in New York and couldn’t find a job. Berry was 21 and her mom refused to send her money thinking her daughter had to learn how to live independently.
