Teri Hatcher leaves ‘Desperate Housewives’, puts the show in jeopardy
Teri Hatcher who plays Susan Mayer in Desperate Housewives, has said she’s leaving the show after the next season.
Teri, who’s been with fellow housewives for all the six years of the show, says she has to move on with her own career and her on shows. Her decision to leave DH is said to be encouraged by Courteney Cox and her post Friends career (Never thought Cougar Town could ever be inspiring).
Teri has given in her notice and is making active preparations to move on,” the source reveals. “She has another production deal in the pipeline and she is in the early stages of developing a sitcom that she wants to start work on immediately after she finishes Desperate Housewives. She wants a new show in time for the mid-January pilot season.”
However, the spokesperson for ABC says the studio has nothing to say about the report.
Originally, Teri Hatcher and the rest of the Desperate Housewives, signed the deal to make the show until 2012 but now without Susan Meyer, the whole show might be in jeopardy.
Well, when it’s about five desperate housewives from the very first episode of the very first season, it may look kind of strange when the show goes on with only four of them left. However, DH screenplay writers can always kill Teri Hatcher’s character to make the story seem complete.
Are you gonna miss Susan Meyer (Teri Hatcher) in Desperate Housewives?
UPDATE: Teri dismissed the rumor saying it was “ridiculously untrue.”
