Star Trek is the most pirated movie 2009
I really expected it to be 2012, you?
While 2009 has been a record breaking year at the box office, with more than $10 billion in ticket sales in North America, Abrams’ Star Trek is reported to top the list of stolen movies this year scoring staggering 10,960,000 downloads, TorrentFreak.com revealed.
Interesting, but Star Trek that people have swapped most often in 2009 is not the movie that grossed huge in the box office earning $385million worldwide.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen came second in the list and very close to the winner with 10,600,000 downloads.
Twilight, Harry Potter And The Half-blood Prince and Wolverine also made it to the top 10 ranking 5th, 7th and 9th, respectively.
