Robert Pattinson is your new Kurt Cobain
Twilight star Robert Pattinson is reportedly in talks to star in a biopic about Nirvana’s front man Kurt Cobain.
He’s the number one pick for the new project by Universal Pictures and is said to be the favorite choice of Cobain’s widow Courtney Love who “has a great role in the production.”
Robert has been calling and e-mailing her non-stop,” The Sun quoted a source as saying. “But he is her number one choice to play Kurt.”
Courtney vetoed the project when Zac Efron was suggested to play the lead. Meanwhile, Love is said to be “adamant Scarlett Johansson will play her” in the movie.
According to the source, David Fincher (Fight Club) is approached to direct the movie that’s titled All Apologies like one of Nirvana’s songs.
Rob will make a wonderful Cobain, no doubt. Just hope the movie will make more sense than Last Days by Gus Van Sent.
UPDATE: Courtney’s rep denied the reports about picking R Pattz for the movie.
I’m not sure she [Love] knows who R Pattz is, but he sure is cute,” her rep said adding that the movie is titled Heavier Than Heaven, not All Apologies as it had been previously mentioned by The Sun.

Surely this is a joke. This can not happen, this is the twinkly kid from the vampire movie, right? Kurt Cobain is an icon to the faceless, nameless kids on the outskirts of the “pop” society. This seems blasphemous. I’m glad she came to her senses when they mentioned the High School Musical kid. If Universal wants to get this right and not insult a god of rock and his millions of fans, much thought needs to go into the target audience. Demographics, people!

What the hell? Why would they choose /him/ to play someone as great as Kurt Cobain? For one, Kurt was hot, unlike the sparkly vampire. Kurt was also an icon to teens in his time; he led music before his death (suicide? I think not! Murdered by Courtney Love!)
They really need to put some thought into who’s going to play Kurt Cobain, because Robert Pattinson surely won’t cut it!
