IMDb is the world’s biggest film database, containing information about more than four million actors and film-makers and attracting more than 110 million unique users a month. Yesterday the site revealed the list of The Most Searched for Movie Stars. Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, the stars of last year’s Oscar-winning Black Swan, have topped the list. They outrun such movie giants as Johnny Depp, George Clooney and Christian Bale,as well as rising actors Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone and Chris Hemsworth. It’s interesting that Johnny Depp, who came third, had been top of the list for six of the last seven years, has got only the third place according to IMDb film fans.

Natalie Portman’s top ranking arrives after a year when she won her first Oscar (best actress for Black Swan), gave birth to a son and starred in three movies – romantic comedy No Strings Attached, medieval movie Your Highness and Kenneth Branagh’s comic book adaptation,Thor. Mila Kunis, who received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in Darren Aranofsky’s ballet melodrama, starred alongside Justin Timberlake in Friends with Benefits and is a long-term cast member on the hit animated comedy, Family Guy. Briefly, the year was very fruitful for these two actresses.
