Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to star together in new Cleopatra movie
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will probably star together in the new movie about Cleopatra, Queen of the Nile, Cleopatra: A Life.
Jolie has confirmed her participation in the project, in which she’ll play the lead role of Queen of Egypt and one of the most famous women of all time, Cleopatra.
I think she’d be perfect for it and I can see a possible Oscar in her future,” Stacy Schiff, author of the Queen of the Nile, Cleopatra: A Life biography, said. “Physically, she’s got the perfect look.”
Rep for the publishing house that will release Schiff’s book this November echoes the author saying:
Angelina Jolie radiates grace and power, exactly the qualities that Stacy Schiff finds in her biography of the most intriguing ruler who ever lived.”
The rumor has it, Brad Pitt might be the first in the line to star against his famous partner and play Cleopatra’s Roman lover Marc Anthony. At least, Stacy Schiff would like to see him star with Jolie in the biopic.
The new Cleopatra movie could become the second project in which Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt star together. They started dating on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith in 2005.
The so far best Cleopatra movie was shot in 1963 starring real-life lovers Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Queen of the Nile author Stacy Schiff thinks Jolie-Pitts are “the Burton and Taylor of our day” and best cast choice ever.
If Brad agrees to star he’ll have to get rid of the goat beard he now has! (Finally!)
Looking forward to seeing Jolie and Pitt star together again, you?!
