I’ll be back: Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to big screen in Terminator 5
Seven years after his “last” appearance in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is reportedly returning to the franchise and to full-time acting in the movie’s new installment, Terminator 5.
The new movie has never been officially confirmed with rumors saying Justin Lin (Fast Five) is going to direct and Robert W. Cort (Jumanji) to produce the new project.
If Terminator 5 does see the light of day with Arnold Schwarzenegger starring, it will be his first big movie in many years (the small cameo in The Expendables doesn’t count) and probably the biggest challenge in his career – Schwarzenegger is in his 60s so “extreme fighting and shooting” will not work for him and will actually look quite silly on the screen.
In the future I have to adapt my roles to my age. Clint Eastwood also has done it in the same way. Extreme fighting or shooting is not possible any more,” Arnold told Austrian Kronen Zeitung. “I want to be more encouraged as an actor and I believe that I can manage this challenge. I am like a sponge, which is absorbing all the knowledge and always be willing to learn all new things.”
Isn’t Arnold Schwarzenegger too old to return to the big screen as Terminator in Terminator 5?
