‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows’ reigns weekend box office with $125+ million
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part I had an easy win at the North American Box Office with $125.1 million earned during the first weekend.
Topping the box office charts, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part I also becomes the highest-grossing movie of the franchise making $20 million more than the previous record holder Harry Potter And The Goblet of Fire (2005). And it’s only the first weekend!
Huge box office success also makes the new part of the Harry Potter series the 6th highest opening weekend ever after The Dark Knight, Spider-Man 3, Twilight Saga: New Moon, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest and Iron Man 2.
Also, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows PI has become the third greatest midnight opening in history and the best opening for the Harry Potter franchise with $25 million in the pocket.
