‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows’ is “bloody”
Are you counting days to the next installment of the Harry Potter franchise? Hope you are, as here’s something to tease all real HP fans.
Actor Matthew Lewis who plays Neville Longbottom in the movie describes the final two parts of the mega popular wizard saga as “bloody,” “gory,” and generally quite scary.
According to him, the movies’ director and screenwriter tried to keep as close to the books as possible, so the movies are gonna be “severe.”
David [Yates] as well as [screenwriter] Steve Kloves haven’t shied away from the more severe stuff in it that was in the book. It’s bloody and it’s gory and it’s very real,” the young actor revealed. “[They're] trying to keep as much stuff as they can from the book in the film. We’re going to stick to the book and we’re gonna say, ‘Look, some of it is quite harrowing, some of it’s quite serious. People do die.’ It’s not sugar-coated. It’s right there, it’s quite raw and all the performances have had to step up.”
With every new movie Harry Potter turns into something more of a thriller than fantasy. Super excited about the two final parts of the franchise.
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part I will be released on November 19, 2010 with the second part coming out on July 15, 2011.
