First look at Robert Pattinson in ‘Cosmopolis’
That’s the first look at Robert Pattinson as Eric Parker in the futuristic thriller Cosmopolis. The photo was taken by Caitlin Cronenberg, daughter of the movie’s director David Cronenberg, and posted on her Twitter page. The on-set pic shows Pattinson’s Eric and Sarah Gadon‘s Elise Shifrin in the backseat of his limo.
Robert Pattinson started filming Cosmopolis right after finishing the principal production of The Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn. The movie, that becomes his fourth none vampire project in the last couple of years, is based on the novel by Don DeLillo.
Robert’s character Eric is a 28 year old multi-billionaire asset manager who risks his entire fortune to bet against Japan’s yen and puts himself in a series of potentially dangerous events.
We can expect that just like in the book, the movie will only cover the events of one day and show Parker in his luxurious limo on his way to get a haircut in Manhattan. According to Wiki, “Cosmopolis includes highly sexed women and the theme of father-son separation.”
In January this year there were reports Marion Cotillard could be joining the cast as Parker’s wife. The film also stars Paul Giamatti, Juliette Binoche, and Kevin Durand.
Cosmopolis is expected in theatres next year.
