Emma Watson: My Week With Marilyn (Monroe)
Emma Watson is back on big screen (no, I don’t mean the upcoming Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows P. I, though I’m ultimately excited about the premiere). Emma has landed a new role in the new movie about Marilyn Monroe, My Week With Marilyn, based on the memoir by Colin Clark.
In the movie that starts shooting next Monday, October 4th, Emma Watson plays a wardrobe assistant named Lucy who works behind the scenes during the making of Marilyn’s The Prince and The Showgirl movie.
In the book Clark said she was his girlfriend and kissed “like an angel.”
Though Emma’s part is really small, it helps her make transition from the Harry Potter franchise to more serious roles. Besides, in My Week With Marilyn, Emma stars against renowned actors as Michelle Williams (Marilyn Monroe), Dame Judi Dench (Dame Sybil Thorndike), Eddie Redmayne (Colin Clark), Kenneth Branagh (Laurence Olivier), and Dominic Cooper (Milton Greene).
Emma’s new movie tells Clark’s story of his nine days with Marilyn Monroe in London where she arrived to film The Prince and The Showgirl with his boss Laurence Olivier.
