Confirmed: Freida Pinto is the next Bond girl
Slumdog Millionaire actress and model Freida Pinto is confirmed to have signed a deal to star as James Bond’s love interest in the next Bond movie directed by Sam Mendes.
I told you about the possibility a year ago and now the studio confirms her involvement.
Sam has been talking about Bond for months now and is so excited about it. The project has been in the pipeline for months and Freida was always the dream Bond girl, but initially she was nervous about accepting it. This is going to be the most ambitious 007 yet. Sam plans to reinvent the genre,” Hollyscoop.com has reported adding that the movie is said to be “visually stunning.”
Just like in previous parts of the Bond franchise, James Bond (Daniel Craig) will meet two hot ladies in the new movie.
Olivia Wilde (Alpha Dog) is in talks with the studio to play a double-crossing UN worker based in Afghanistan.
Your choice – Freida or Olivia?
UPDATE: Later in the day, Freida’s rep dismissed the reports in his exclusive interview with India’s site NDTV. He said:
I would like to confirm that as of today, Freida Pinto has not been approached to be part of the next Bond film. It is of course very flattering to even be rumoured to be part of a Bond film but she has certainly not been approached for the role of the next Bond girl opposite Daniel Craig as yet.”
