Around the web: ‘Just Go With It’ beats ‘Justin Bieber: Never Say Never’ in the box office
Having just a $700,000 between them, Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston-starring romantic comedy Just Go With It beat Justin Bieber‘s 3D debut Never Say Never in the weekend box office, according to Variety.
The source reports that Just Go With It brought $31 million, while Never Say Never earned $30.3 million in ticket sales.
Even though Justin’s movie was generally praised by critics, while Just Go With It was panned as “too predictable” it couldn’t stop the movie from becoming the top earner.
It can possibly be explained by the fact that despite critics’ reaction Just Go With It could draw both women and men to theatres, thus, increasing ticket sales, while Never Say Never‘s audience mainly consisted of females (84%).
