Kesha at 13 is performing at a school talent show

Do you guys think was weird?

Check out the newly released footage featuring the now big star Kesha in her teens performing a cover version of Radiohead’s ‘Karma Police’ at what seems to be a school talent show.

In the video Kesha (then just Kesha Seber) is 13, chubby, fresh-faced and casually dressed, so completely different from the Kesha we know now.

Still, the voice is really strong for a 13 year old girl, don’t you think?

Check out Kesha’s early performance below and read all about the rising star and her way to fame HERE.

Beyoncé Knowles recorded the track with her then BF and now husband Jay-Z and released it in 2003 as the lead single of her first solo album Dangerously in Love.

‘Crazy In Love’ topped charts worldwide and helped the singer get her first two Grammy Awards.

Congrats Beyonce!

Kristen Stewart says she and Robert Pattinson are just great friends

Kristen Stewart addressed multiple dating rumors about her and Twilight Saga lead man Robert Pattinson. According to the actress, they’re nothing but close friends. (sorry, Twi-hards):

Robert and I are great friends but I understand why you would assume that, when we lean on each other for support, there must be something more,” Kristen said. “And I’m not criticizing anyone for thinking it either. If anything, they’re really perceptive because they can see a closeness.”

Such a nice attempt to get rid of excessive media attention. Fat chances the “friends news” will change anything about it though.

In related Twi-news, last week it was confirmed Death Cab for Cutie’s song ‘Meet Me on the Equinox’ will become the lead single on the New Moon soundtrack album. The band said they didn’t expect be chosen for the first single only hoping to get included in the soundtrack at all.

The song “happens to line up with what the characters are going through in the film,” the band said adding that the song is uptempo with “darker and brooding” lyrics.

The band is shooting the video this week in Toronto and says they want to have Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner featured.

Radiohead on New Moon soundrack?

It’s just my guess I share with the Twi-fans from NewMoonMovie.org.

A new Radiohead song, ‘These Are My Twisted Words’ has just been released and nobody knows why.

The guess is that the track joins the New Moon soundtrack list. At least if you listen to the song you’ll definitely feel it can perfectly fit in the movie. It’s a lot instrumental, just like most of Twi-soundtracks.

Having Radiohead on New Moon soundtrack is more than probable, according to New Moon director Chris Weitz:

2009 MTV Video Music Awards nominees announced

Nominees for 2009 MTV Video Music Awards were announced yesterday.

Surprisingly enough, last year’s breakthrough act, Lady GaGa, dominates this year’s nominations list with eight nods in her pocket for ‘Poker Face’ and ‘Paparazzi.’

Her main competition is Beyoncé Knowles with the same number of nods for ‘Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)’.

Last year’s VMA was all about Britney and she seems to be determined to get as many awards as possible this year again, following GaGa and Beyoncé with seven nods.

2009 VMAs will be held in NY on September 13, 2009. The glam event will be hosted by rascal Russell Brand for the second consecutive year.

Michael Jackson's Thriller is named the greatest album ever

British TV viewers picked the Greatest Album Ever from the album list complied by music industry experts, artists, and bosses from the network’s three UK channels – MTV2, VH1 and MTV Base, FemaleFirst.co.uk reported.

Michael Jackson’s 1982’s best-seller LP Thriller was named the Greatest Album of all time, securing almost a third of the total vote of 40,000.

I don’t think there’ll ever be another album like it in the history of music,” MTV Base presenter Trevor Nelson said. “There will never be a marriage of producer and artist, or songwriting and pop sensibility like that again. Due to the way people buy records now, there’ll never be an album that sells as many copies.”

Carrie Underwood is a 2009 Grammy Awards winner

It was definitely one of the most exciting shows of the year for me. Lots of celebs, lots of quality music, lots of bright performances, lots of expectations, and, as it always happens with awards shows, some bit of disappointment.

Anyways, I was happy for Duffy who got the Best Pop Vocal Album award and for Coldplay, of course. I was glad for Adele and John Mayer, and for other winners, though I really hoped would get an award too, but alas, maybe next year.

Taylor Swit will duet with Miley Cyrus at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards 2009

Surprise! These teen icons could team up for a “My ex is from Jonas Brothers” girl club but they know better. Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus and best selling singer of 2008 are going to duet at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards this coming Sunday.

They will perform Swift’s song ‘15.’

I was on tour when I turned 15,” Cyrus said. “The lyrics are really inspiring. …This song is pretty perfect for the Grammys.”

It’s a song I wrote about my freshman year of high school. I wrote it about all you think you know when you’re 15,” Taylor said. “I’m just really glad I was able to put it into words all the things that happened that year.”

Was a well planned Grammy surprise?

We all kind of came to the consensus that ‘Wouldn’ be cool if Miley was up there and we were singing together,’” Swift added.

Greatest Welsh music discovery since Tom Jones, has once again proved she’s worth all the flattering titles she’s given.

  • The truth is still out there?

  • I know you probably wonder why I’m posting this as it has nothing to do with celebs, glam events, glitzy lifestyle and all this Hollywood stuff that I typically bitch about. An article caught my attention and I thought to myself, damn, the truth is still out there.

  • Wings cut short, or sort of bdsm pleasure

  • You know I was just thinking about the things that make me vulnerable. Cause I personally hate this feeling, like being hanged in the air like being controlled from outside and unable to do my thing. Generally, who the hell was the first to come up with the idea of control? And the more important question, why do we need it? If I wanna do something I'll do it anyway and either way, and if I do it breaking some rules, escaping the CONTROL, then the feeling would just get better and the victory would just feel sweeter. So why do we need control and sort of submission it takes a long. What sort of bdsm pleasure is that supposed to give?

  • Stirring things up!

  • Did you ever provoke a fight with your guy? You love getting on his nerves because that makes him so obscure and funny – “cute” so we say. No, you’re not sadistic. Just the fact that after the make up, it feels so sweet to be the conqueror- to have the feeling of power! To feel the situation is under your control - to cause a fight and then to stop it. Isn’t it just so dramatically sweet to push the edges once in a while?

I love pushing his triggers. Some may think I’m an evil witch, but I’m simply making our relationship tempered, exciting, resolute, pert.

If you intentionally get into a fight with him – you are not sick in a head (and no, you’re not just a bitch). Scientists say that a healthy relationship is a relationship where there are arguments, and any argument needs a solution, right? That takes out our negative energy and brings us closer.

  • Breaking Rules

  • No matter how obvious it sounds most of the rules have been created long before us. By rules I mean systematized experience of previous generations, like handshakes and etiquette, and things like going for a social smoke. There is a rule that ladies go in first into any door except the elevator.

But rules are a need for the sense of stability around one. Society needs rules to forecast the effect of a cause, to have at least some confidence of the future. And this is what disappoints people. This is when they lose their confidence because things appear not the way they expected them to be. Those who were really dependent on expectations suffer from facing the world that is unpredictable, that the rules they believed in didn’t work at some turning point.

So they say that only fools learn through their own mistakes. Don’t you remember your mom telling you not to stick your tong out and put it against the metallic balcony railing when it’s freezing cold outside? Why did I skip my SPSS class with that macho from senior class? All of my friends were telling me he was a player and had nothing else in his head except for getting laid. Why do we learn things only after we go through them? This is what humans are like.

  • Be what You want to Be

  • What do you call it when you feel something against your will? When the call of that something inside you starts ripping your self - esteem in pieces while your consciousness tells you to stop.

I never had it when I was a child.

I always felt what I wanted and I always wanted that what I felt.

Being used to getting what I want I am stuck. Stuck in the position like being lost in the desert. There’s nowhere to go. I can’t deny what I feel but I also can’t afford to feel it. It’s against my beliefs and values. Hum… fuck the beliefs. I don’t care.

No more. The human mind is such control-freak. It kills me. And if I continue it will sound like a confession to you and this is the least I want to do.

  • Sex Agenda

  • Inspired by “fuck” conversation last Saturday, which is a very delicate subject.

All of us, living in a fast growing temper of big cities are busy. We go to work, go to college full time, or have kids to take care of. There are plenty of things to do. When crazy week days are over we have yoga or tango classes, and shopping to do aside the chorus, french classes and getting a good sleep.

When is there time for sex?

The right answer would be - there is always time for sex. But the stress and busyness lead some couples to pencil their intimacy. It is logical, simple and hot to know that your schedule after works has a mark “Ryan 8 pm”. It is exciting to feel the anticipation, but on the other hand do we feel it is comfortable to set up our special moments with an important person for us on a basis of a scheduled task? It seems awkward to plan it, it is out of style, especially for femme-fatale like me, but even when sex is spontaneous, in every woman's head it is always planned. (wink!)
