Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is Steven Spielberg’s 4th Indiana Jones film. It was running out of competition at the 61st edition of The Cannes International Film Festival, On May, 18th in Cannes, France.

Harrison Ford, who returns to the role of Dr Jones 19-years on from the last movie, insisted he was not concerned about the critical reaction to his latest adventure, saying the only people who mattered were the fans. He said:

I expect to have the whip turned on me. It is not unusual for something that is popular to be disdained by some people and I fully expect it. I’m not really worried about it. I work for the people who pay to get in - they are my customers. My focus is on providing the best experience I can for those people.”

Yes sure, because the critics say the movie wasn’t as brilliant as expected.

But the crowd cheered those involved in the film, including Cate Blanchett, Shia LaBeouf, Ray Winstone, Karen Allen, George Lucas and John Hurt. The team received a standing ovation as they entered the cinema.

Sean Penn is the president of the jury at the 61st annual The Cannes International Film Festival,

Sean is a regular at Cannes. He won the best actor award here for She’s So Lovely, as well as he showed his own movies The Pledge and The Indian Runner here.

He will lead a jury made up of Mexican director Alfonso Cuaron (Children of Men), American actress Natalie Portman (V for Vendetta), Iranian comic book artist Marjane Satrapi (Persepolis), Italian actor-director Sergio Castellitto (My Mother’s Smile), French actress Jeanne Balibar (Clean), Thai director Apichatpong Weerasethakul (Tropical Malady), French director Rachid Bouchareb (Days of Glory) and German actress Alexandra Maria Lara (Downfall).

The winners will be announced May 25.

Something about her face looks cheap and I don’t think it has anything to do with that nasty tattoo she has on her arm. She’s alright, but DEFINETLY not the sexiest! What about Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen, Nicole Scherzinger, Rihanna? I mean really this is wrong.

Natalie Portman is wanna-be-like girl. Anything she does she does it with grace and style. Recently this talented young actress has done movie My Blueberry Nights where she played obsessed gambler, than take her comfy vegan footwear line and on top of it all Natalie does charity with Finca, organization which gives loans to women in poverty to help them start their own business.

Most of those women were abused, she said telling the story of a woman she met in Uganda. Natalie was amazed how little it takes to help women make such big transformation with a help of little money and a business plan.

Last night I watched “My Blueberry Nights” starring Norah Jones and Jude Law. The entire movie is great; it has that sweet atmosphere to it accompanied by Norah’s songs. It was her first time acting in the movie and I think she was excellent. I loved the way she cried, it felt so real. Jude was as hot as always. He played a sweet, really cute baker who knows how to wait. There is also Natalie Portman who plays cheeky poker-addict and likes messing with people’s minds playing her psychological games. A must see movie!

There is only one scene where Norah and Jude physically touch. The kiss. Movie director Won Kar Wai said:

I saw good chemistry between them, I told Jude, ‘When you’re playing tennis with a first timer, you have to be prepared for any scenario. And that will bring new energy to your work.’ The kiss is the first time that they physically touch. He has to be very precise. He has to get rid of the cream on her lips [from pie] and then kiss.”

I am so very jealous. I wish Jude Law kissed me the way he kisses all the lucky girls in his movies. All I would have to do is to lie on the counter with my eyes closed and pretend that I’m asleep… and when he kisses me I would kiss him back and would softly put my hand on his neck.
