Friday at the 62nd Cannes International Film Festival was marked by screening of two films, the in competition Bright Star and Un Certain Regard Precious.
Bright star starring English actor Ben Whishaw and Australian cutie dating Ryan Phillippe, Abbie Cornish, is about the love affair between poet John Keats, who died at the age of 25, and his young neighbor Fanny Brawne.
Abbie Cornish arrived at the screening in a beautiful purple tiered, pleated purple dress. She looked beautiful but was anyway overshadowed by Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria who dazzled the redcarpet in the ice blue Atelier Versace Spring 2009 gown with a shimmering train.

I think what it is, the public really wants us to have kids. We’re going to do it and when we do it we’re going to let you all know. But right now, we’re trying to enjoy the newlywed aspect,” Nick said during his appearance on Extra. “We were walking out of the office where Will Smith’s office is,” Nick added on the photo of the couple spotted leaving a clinic. “Unless Will Smith is delivering babies on the low.”

Mariah Carey is Mariah Carey’s biggest fan. She’s presently in talks to make a Broadway show based on her life. The musical is to be made in 2009, the singer’s spokesperson said.
The show will follow Mariah’s career from her discovery at the age of 20, to her marriage and divorce from producer Tommy Mottola and to her emotional and physical breakdown in early 2000s.
It must be very difficult for Mrs. Nick Cannon to find someone to portray herself. We all know how demanding she is and how much she loves herself. But the source reveals she eyes British rising star Leona Lewis for the role.
Mariah’s not sure if she’ll star in it herself. Mariah secretly likes the idea of Leona Lewis playing her. Not only is she exotic, she’s the only one who they reckon would be able to tackle Mariah’s eight-octave vocal range.”

Ok, 2008 is almost over so it’s time to sum up what we’ve seen, enjoyed, got crazy or furious at during the year. Think making another list of mine, the last one this year.
TEEN OF THE YEAR
Let’s begin with teens. The Teen of the Year is definitely Miley Cyrus. She’s made a way from a Disney Channel star to one of the most influential women in entertainment. She’s been different, shocking and amusing. She made a stir with her Vanity Fair shoot and she’s celebrated her sweet 16 in Disney Land. She’s # 1 teen of 2008.
Although, I do belive we must praise the Jonas Brothers, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato for the great work they’ve done. Though not on the top, they are surely among the best teens of the year!

Mariah Carey has two little puppies. One of them is a terrier, the other one is Nick Cannon.
Decked out in matching white ensembles, the couple toted their pet pooch as they visited Mimi’s mother’s jewelry store Joan Boyce.
