Marc Jacobs and fiance Lorenzo Martone split

Iconic Louis Vuitton designer Marc Jacobs and his fiance of a year Lorenzo Martone have split.

Lorenzo, Jacob’s Brazilian PR executive, announced the news on his Twitter page last Friday adding they were fine and not willing to comment on the break up report.

Thanks for t notes. Yes, I saw t press today. We are not together, haven’t been in 2 months. And we will not comment on it. Sorry. We r fine. (sic)” Lorenzo Martone wrote.

According to FemaleFirst.co.uk, just the day before Lorenzo made his Twitter announcement, Marc Jacobs had stated he was “not getting married.”

So sad, the two looked so great together.

Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone started dating in 2008 and got engaged in March 2009. The January 2010 rumor said they had got married over New Years but neither of them confirmed or denied the reports with Lorenzo noting that “legally we’re not married yet.”

Lady GaGa is named the most influential artist of the year

Pop culture phenomenon Lady GaGa is included into Time Magazine’s list of Most Influential People In The World.

Lady tops the list of most influential artists and has the second highest networking index that is based on the number of her Twitter followers and Facebook connections.

According to Time and their guest editor Cyndi Lauper who wrote about GaGa, the singer tops the list being so young, barely 24, being in the age when it’s hard to navigate her life in the spotlight.

Lady Gaga’s art captures the period we’re in right now,” Lauper continues. “Gaga’s lyrics are incredibly literary. When ‘Bad Romance’ starts, the music grabs your ear immediately. Then she opens with the line ‘I want your ugly/ I want your disease,’ and all of a sudden you’re listening. Most of the stuff on the radio is not very clever, but Gaga presents her ideas in a sophisticated manner. She has an incredible pop sensibility.”

Cyndi also refers to Lady GaGa as “a performance artist. She herself is the art.”

In Time’s list of 25 most influential artists ‘Telephone’ singer is followed by Conan O’Brien at No. 2, Oprah Winfrey at No. 4, Robert Pattinson ( # 6), Ashton Kutcher (#7), and Taylor Swift (#9).

Seeing the likes of Madonna, Beyonce, , Paris Hilton, Rihanna or Dita Von Teese in the first row of most prestigious and exciting catwalk shows of most prominent fashion designers can soon go out of fashion.

Marc Jacobs has just set a precedent during his New York Fashion Week catwalk show yesterday when he banned celebs from attending the show.

I think that at that moment in time, that’s what people loved,” newlywed Jacobs explained. “It generated so much press [but] at a certain point it was like, ‘Did anybody actually watch the show?’”

Some sources claim the decision to ban celebs was based purely on financial reasons as it’s usually pretty expensive to draw A-listers to the show to make sure they attend and the show is covered in media.

However, Marc’s latest Fall 2010 collection has been hailed spectacular solely because of its creative genius, with no celebs involved. Vogue described it as “simultaneously sweet and soignee.”

I love love love Jessica Biel’s dress for the night. This dyed organza one-shoulder gown by is simply gorgeous! And unlike some of her fashion choices, she looks stunningly beautiful in it.

While Biel is more of an elegant goddess of the night, is a flirty girl you’d like to go out with on Valentine’s Day. Her loose mini by Proenza Schouler matched her platform shoes. Loved the rich green hue of the dress and her green eye make up. Jessica’s new shorter do is really lovely!

Anne Hathaway in navy blue Marchesa dress and matching color earrings looked fabulous. Loved her platform stilettos and Roger Vivier clutch.

karl-lagerfeld-quote

As the year slowly but inevitably draws to an end it’s so human typical to draw some conclusions as well. Fashion Bible WWD.com has put together some of the greatest quotes this year and here are my top picks from the huge list. Hope you’ll like it just as much as I did.

Karl Lagerfeld on being a lesbian:

I think the women are better than the men. I think if I were a woman here, I would be a lesbian.”

Marc Jacobs on recession and his colorful F/W 2009 collection:

What? Is all black going to help the economy?”

Stephanie Cota from Mattel on ’s fashion obsessions:

has a long history of working with various designers and artists who use as a muse. It was a natural for , not only with her fashion heritage, but also because of her passion for shoes. She has a billion shoes and we needed to do something special for her shoe collection.”

stella-mccartney-quote

Stella McCartney on money:

I really admire people who earn money and part with their hard-earned money for my product.”

marc-jacobs-nars

Beauty company Nars is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, and so the creative director and founder of the brand, Francois Nars, combined his two passions – beauty products and photography – for a special charity project 15×15, a book with fifteen Nars friends and their brand new looks created with the help of Nars products.

All the photographs as well as make up were made by Francois Nars himself.

When you do something for 15 years, you want to do something fun but [that is] still a nice piece of work. Plus, the Nars brand people wanted me to do something to remind people I’m still here,” Nars said, according to WWD.com.

The book contains images of fifteen people and fifteen Nars products that served as inspiration. Marc Jacobs, Isabella Rossellini, Amber Valletta, Dayle Haddon, Naomi Campbell, Amanda Lepore, Daphne Guinness, Francois Vincentelli, Natasha Poly, Lisa Marie Smith, Olivier Theyskens, Carla Gugino, Shalom Harlow, Tyson Ballou and Jennifer Jason Leigh all posed for the photographer.

marc-jacobs-bunny-ears

designer genius Marc Jacobs made this fall a lot of fashion fun with now famous bunny ears so favored by A-listers and models.

Madonna became the first to wear bunny ears to an A-list glam event donning the blue ears for the MET Gala in early May. After that the ears were spotted everywhere – on magazine covers, at music gigs, at dinners, and while grocery shopping.

So how all this crazy bunny obsession started? Marc Jacobs explains:

There’s a girl who works for us, Lucy, she’s on the design team, and Adrian, one of the boys, was tying a little bit of fabric around and it reminded me of bunny. We were thinking of all these different things like can-can dancers, and I saw this piece of fabric wrapped around Lucy’s head and said, ‘Bunny ears, that’s what we need to finish this look.’ So we made all these radzimir bunny ears and that’s how it happened. I like the kind of Playboy, French coquette aspect to it.”

Everything of genius is simple!

So who are your fave celebs who love bunny ears?

The latest to don the fashionable piece was sexy burlesque queen when visiting the premiere of the show Desires at the Crazy Horse revue on September 21 in Paris, France.

Lady GaGa poses almost completely naked for V Magazine Fall 2009 issue

We’ve seen her wearing bubbles, crazy hats, vampire fangs, and tape on her nips. Time for more provocative action!

Lady GaGa covers V Magazine Fall 2009 issue with a revealing photospread inside made by fashion photography legend Mario Testino.

Basically, it’s not the first time GaGa gets almost naked for the magazine. She has already been featured in V Magazine and even interviewed by .

In the new photoshoot GaGa shows her fluffy side wearing a (horrid?) huge pink wig and covering her intimate parts with a small fluffy ball that looks like a bunny scut.

Lady GaGa shows some skin in V Magazine Fall 2009 issue

Wearing just that Lady GaGa poses for two photos that look almost identical safe for the black-white-palette of the second one.

Balancing on the verge of accessibility – that’s so GaGa!

What I like about the photos is that they let us enjoy Lady’s back tattoo, which she refuses to show often or at all. However, too much fake tan looks aptly though still gross.

Your thoughts about the shoot?

  • The truth is still out there?

  • I know you probably wonder why I’m posting this as it has nothing to do with celebs, glam events, glitzy lifestyle and all this Hollywood stuff that I typically bitch about. An article caught my attention and I thought to myself, damn, the truth is still out there.

  • Wings cut short, or sort of bdsm pleasure

  • You know I was just thinking about the things that make me vulnerable. Cause I personally hate this feeling, like being hanged in the air like being controlled from outside and unable to do my thing. Generally, who the hell was the first to come up with the idea of control? And the more important question, why do we need it? If I wanna do something I'll do it anyway and either way, and if I do it breaking some rules, escaping the CONTROL, then the feeling would just get better and the victory would just feel sweeter. So why do we need control and sort of submission it takes a long. What sort of bdsm pleasure is that supposed to give?

  • Stirring things up!

  • Did you ever provoke a fight with your guy? You love getting on his nerves because that makes him so obscure and funny – “cute” so we say. No, you’re not sadistic. Just the fact that after the make up, it feels so sweet to be the conqueror- to have the feeling of power! To feel the situation is under your control - to cause a fight and then to stop it. Isn’t it just so dramatically sweet to push the edges once in a while?

I love pushing his triggers. Some may think I’m an evil witch, but I’m simply making our relationship tempered, exciting, resolute, pert.

If you intentionally get into a fight with him – you are not sick in a head (and no, you’re not just a bitch). Scientists say that a healthy relationship is a relationship where there are arguments, and any argument needs a solution, right? That takes out our negative energy and brings us closer.

  • Breaking Rules

  • No matter how obvious it sounds most of the rules have been created long before us. By rules I mean systematized experience of previous generations, like handshakes and etiquette, and things like going for a social smoke. There is a rule that ladies go in first into any door except the elevator.

But rules are a need for the sense of stability around one. Society needs rules to forecast the effect of a cause, to have at least some confidence of the future. And this is what disappoints people. This is when they lose their confidence because things appear not the way they expected them to be. Those who were really dependent on expectations suffer from facing the world that is unpredictable, that the rules they believed in didn’t work at some turning point.

So they say that only fools learn through their own mistakes. Don’t you remember your mom telling you not to stick your tong out and put it against the metallic balcony railing when it’s freezing cold outside? Why did I skip my SPSS class with that macho from senior class? All of my friends were telling me he was a player and had nothing else in his head except for getting laid. Why do we learn things only after we go through them? This is what humans are like.

  • Be what You want to Be

  • What do you call it when you feel something against your will? When the call of that something inside you starts ripping your self - esteem in pieces while your consciousness tells you to stop.

I never had it when I was a child.

I always felt what I wanted and I always wanted that what I felt.

Being used to getting what I want I am stuck. Stuck in the position like being lost in the desert. There’s nowhere to go. I can’t deny what I feel but I also can’t afford to feel it. It’s against my beliefs and values. Hum… fuck the beliefs. I don’t care.

  • Sex Agenda

  • Inspired by “fuck” conversation last Saturday, which is a very delicate subject.

All of us, living in a fast growing temper of big cities are busy. We go to work, go to college full time, or have kids to take care of. There are plenty of things to do. When crazy week days are over we have yoga or tango classes, and shopping to do aside the chorus, french classes and getting a good sleep.

When is there time for sex?

The right answer would be - there is always time for sex. But the stress and busyness lead some couples to pencil their intimacy. It is logical, simple and hot to know that your schedule after works has a mark “Ryan 8 pm”. It is exciting to feel the anticipation, but on the other hand do we feel it is comfortable to set up our special moments with an important person for us on a basis of a scheduled task? It seems awkward to plan it, it is out of style, especially for femme-fatale like me, but even when sex is spontaneous, in every woman's head it is always planned. (wink!)
