Heath Ledger

is great in everything he does. He’s fantastic in acting, he’s amazing and doting dad, and he’s a great singer, though maybe there’re not so many people who know that. Johnny once sang in the band The Kids, and now there’re reports he’s gonna reunite with the guys to play two concerts at Sheila Witkin Memorial Reunion Concert on August 29 and 30 at the Club Cinema in Pompano Beach, Florida.

He last performed with The Kids last January, and this time he’ll sing with them at the same fundraising event.

The star is known for his musical talents and has previously recorded a solo album and even played slide guitar on the British band Oasis song ‘Fade In-Out’.

Here’s singing in his flick Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Besides, being totally multitalented, Johnny’s extremely generous. It was recently revealed that Depp, and who helped complete ’s final movie project The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus by playing versions of Ledger’s character, donated their salaries to ’s daughter Matilda, 2, to ensure she has a secure future. Heath died of an accidental prescription drugs overdose in January this year.

The thing is that Ledger’s will was made before Matilda was born and therefore she was not granted any of his assets.

“They didn’t take money — it goes to Heath’s daughter. The three actors were totally heroic coming in. This doesn’t happen very often – where there’s a tragedy like this, and very famous, very successful actors suddenly say, ‘OK, we’ll do whatever it takes to help,” Imaginarium director Terry Gilliam told the press.

Previously Johnny donated nearly $2 million to the London children’s medical center that treated his daughter Lily-Rose, 8, from kidney failure in March 2007.

Exceeding any possible expectations Batman: The Dark Knight went on to shatter records left and right this weekend.

The film is now the biggest debut ever in U.S. box office history.

Beating the reigning champ Spider-Man 3, The Dark Knight set box-office records this weekend, bringing in more than $155 million from the widest opening ever - 4,366 theaters through Friday to Sunday.

The film is great, played his best role ever, but nonetheless the greatest success in the box office history must be for the sad fact that died. Actor’s sorrowful death brought the film its legendary fame.

Now The Dark Knight is poised to take on all-time champs like Titanic, which earned more than $600 million.

Heath, you will always be in our hearts.

The Dark Knight is a long awaited and a pretty sad premier. The follow-up to 2005’s hit Batman Begins, The Dark Knight is said to prove to be one of 2008’s highest grossing summer blockbusters. The Dark Knight is on starting July 18.

Christian Bale returns to take on the Joker and Two-Face, two of the comic’s most brutal and unpredictable villains. The film is worth watching because of several reasons and one of them is that it’s the last film (The Joker) starred in before he prematurely died in January this year.

Sadly, Heath is not with us any longer. But he will asways remain in our hearts.

Among other July 18th big movie premieres there are:

Mamma Mia! is a stage musical based comedy with a really all-star cast. Meryl Streep is the mama, and , Colin Firth or Stellan Skarsgard might be the daddies in this movie about a bride’s search for her real dad. The film is set to ABBA music. But that’s not the main reason I wanna see it. The real worthwhile reason is Maryl Streep’s acrobatic feats. She’s 59, I wish I’ll be able to do such things when I’m 59.

The film seems like fun. At least the play has always been a success.

Space Chimps is a talking-monkey comedy about Ham III who comes from a proud lineage of chimp astronauts, and who is the prime candidate for a special mission for an opportunity-seeking Senator. His mission involves taking down an evil overlord of a far-away planet.

The comedy features the voices of Patrick Warburton, Cheryl Hines, and Kristen Chenoweth.

Heath Ledger smiling

The first The Dark Knight reviews hail ’s performance of the Joker as Oscar-worthy, according to UsMagazine.

Batman-Joker

“I can only speak superlatives of Ledger, who is mad-crazy-blazing brilliant as the Joker,” Rolling Stone critic Peter Travers writes. “Ledger’s Joker has no gray areas — he’s all rampaging id. He creates a Joker for the ages,” the critic added.

According to Travers, Ledger’s performance deserves an Oscar nomination.

Ledger - Joker

“If there’s a movement to get him the first posthumous Oscar since Peter Finch won for 1976’s Network, sign me up,” he writes.

If bloggers can do anything to help Ledger get this Oscar nomination, sigh me in too! He was a really gifted actor who deserved to become part of the Oscar history.

Heath Ledger

died at age 28 of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in January this year. His last film The Dark Knight premieres on July 18. Stay tuned to learn more about it.

Miss Provocateur

  • Stirring things up!

  • Did you ever provoke a fight with your guy? You love getting on his nerves because that makes him so obscure and funny – “cute” so we say. No, you’re not sadistic. Just the fact that after the make up, it feels so sweet to be the conqueror- to have the feeling of power! To feel the situation is under your control - to cause a fight and then to stop it. Isn’t it just so dramatically sweet to push the edges once in a while?

I love pushing his triggers. Some may think I’m an evil witch, but I’m simply making our relationship tempered, exciting, resolute, pert.

If you intentionally get into a fight with him – you are not sick in a head (and no, you’re not just a bitch). Scientists say that a healthy relationship is a relationship where there are arguments, and any argument needs a solution, right? That takes out our negative energy and brings us closer.

  • Breaking Rules

  • No matter how obvious it sounds most of the rules have been created long before us. By rules I mean systematized experience of previous generations, like handshakes and etiquette, and things like going for a social smoke. There is a rule that ladies go in first into any door except the elevator.

But rules are a need for the sense of stability around one. Society needs rules to forecast the effect of a cause, to have at least some confidence of the future. And this is what disappoints people. This is when they lose their confidence because things appear not the way they expected them to be. Those who were really dependent on expectations suffer from facing the world that is unpredictable, that the rules they believed in didn’t work at some turning point.

So they say that only fools learn through their own mistakes. Don’t you remember your mom telling you not to stick your tong out and put it against the metallic balcony railing when it’s freezing cold outside? Why did I skip my SPSS class with that macho from senior class? All of my friends were telling me he was a player and had nothing else in his head except for getting laid. Why do we learn things only after we go through them? This is what humans are like.

I never had it when I was a child.

I always felt what I wanted and I always wanted that what I felt.

Being used to getting what I want I am stuck. Stuck in the position like being lost in the desert. There’s nowhere to go. I can’t deny what I feel but I also can’t afford to feel it. It’s against my beliefs and values. Hum… fuck the beliefs. I don’t care.

No more. The human mind is such control-freak. It kills me. And if I continue it will sound like a confession to you and this is the least I want to do.

  • Sex Agenda

  • Inspired by “fuck” conversation last Saturday, which is a very delicate subject.

All of us, living in a fast growing temper of big cities are busy. We go to work, go to college full time, or have kids to take care of. There are plenty of things to do. When crazy week days are over we have yoga or tango classes, and shopping to do aside the chorus, french classes and getting a good sleep.

When is there time for sex?

The right answer would be - there is always time for sex. But the stress and busyness lead some couples to pencil their intimacy. It is logical, simple and hot to know that your schedule after works has a mark “Ryan 8 pm”. It is exciting to feel the anticipation, but on the other hand do we feel it is comfortable to set up our special moments with an important person for us on a basis of a scheduled task? It seems awkward to plan it, it is out of style, especially for femme-fatale like me, but even when sex is spontaneous, in every woman's head it is always planned. (wink!)

  • Barefoot

  • I remember one rainy morning when I was sitting on the backseat of my Mercedes. My driver picked me up earlier than the usual. I wasn’t mad at him, no. I thought it was great so I could get to the office earlier than the usual. But when I got into the car I asked him if we could drive around for a bit. I like rain. I wanted to go to the park and have a cup of espresso at the patio outside the café on the bridge.

I asked him to wait for me and he walked me carrying the umbrella. I hate it cause when he does it he always sings “Under my umbrella, ella-ella-ella…” Rihanna’s song, you know. It’s cute but he makes me smile and I don’t like that. He’s my driver. That’s it. He’s supposed to take me where I want, not make me smile.

Woman has always been a mystery to men. It is difficult to predict the way she will act in a certain situation. Whether she will through a scandal and tell all the girls, or will she keep it low. May be it will clear few things up and will surely make you smile.
