Hot new stuff from ‘The Runaways’

It’s all about The Runaways, guys! Whether you can’t wait to watch the movie in theatres or you feel indifferent to the buzz the Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning starring movie has created, it’s a must-check out thing just to know the singing potential of the two young stars.

The official soundtrack for the movie was released last week with both Kristen and Dakota featured in the songs.

I was very excited to hear them sing and here they are – Dakota performing ‘California Paradise’ and then singing in duet with KStew for ‘Queens Of Noise’. I do like Dakota’s voice.

Besides, the latest official trailer for the movie has hit the web and it looks pretty decent.

All the Runaways’ fans, it’s for you. Twi-hards might also find it interesting to see their fave girls taking on completely new roles.

Did you guys know Dakota Fanning could sing? And apparently sing pretty well as her songs are included into the track listing for her latest flick The Runaways in which she costars with Kristen Stewart.

Soundtrack for The Tunawaways is available starting March 23 whole the movie premieres March 19, 2010.

The recently revealed OST includes two remakes performed by Dakota, 16, solo and two tracks in which she duets with Kristen, 19.

The first pic and teaser for The Runaways has finally arrived. And well, both look awesome!

Kristen Stewart takes on the role of Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning plays her bandmate and friend Cherie Currie in the movie that will premiere at Sundance Film Festival this January.

The Runaways is based on the 1970s all-girl rock band of the same name, which were brought together in late 1975 by impresario Kim Fowley. Being expected to be an easy sell with a novelty act of teenaged girls performing in leather and lace, the girls ended up proving to be serious and influential musicians, AceShowbiz.com reported.

FYI, Kristen’s performance in the movie has been praised by Joan Jett herself, that’s already something.

New Moon LA premiere – Hot! Hot! Hot!

All your favorite Twilight Saga stars were super hot and glamorous at New Moon premiere at Mann Village Theatre on Monday night.

The ultimate showstoppers were Ashley Greene in her red Prabal Gurung gown and New Moon lead girl Kristen Stewart in a stunning strapless Oscar de la Renta dress, Jimmy Choo pumps and beautiful curly do.

Just loving her look, it’s so different from the Kristen we’re used to seeing in paparazzi shots.

New Moon’s Rosalie Nikki Reed opted for a plain silver blue mini dress, grey platform pumps and a brown belt. Beautiful!

Elizabeth Reaser who plays Esme Cullen in the movie looked all so glam in a white bandage dress and dark burgundy peep toe pumps.

Both ladies look so different without dark red eye contracts, right?!

Jane depicter Dakota Fanning, 15, turned heads in a sexy black & lacy Valentino dress and satin heels. She seemd to feel at perfect ease on the redcarpet with thousands of fans screaming from all around. That’s what I call composure!

Anna Kendrick who plays Jessica in the movie looked all so sparkly in her black one shoulder mini. Quite impressive, yet not as remarkable as the next dress.

Christian Sarratos had the sexiest dress of the night. Flaunting her beautiful body that she previously exposed for PETA in the “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaign, Christian opted for a metal embellished mini dress and silver ankle boots. VERY sexy! And so different from Angela Weber, the character Sarratos plays in the movie.

Are you ready? Here come the guys.

First of all, it’s Robert Pattinson who looked sexy in a Gucci suit and black tie stealing the show and making girls almost faint with excitement when he stepped on the redcarpet.

Kristen Stewart said the night was a celebration of ‘Taycob’ – Taylor Lautner who plays Jacob Black as he was the obvious center of fans’ attention when he hit the redcarpet looking dapper sexy in a Calvin Klein navy blue suit.

It’s the amount of passion,” Taylor told AP about the number of people who came out and their enthusiasm. “It’s not normal.”

I’m so proud of that kid,” Kristen Stewart said. “He’s taught me more than I’ve ever been able to bestow on him. I think he’s the most centered of everybody here.”

Kellan Lutz, what more can I say?

Jackson Rathbone and Peter Facinelli who play Jason Hale and Carlisle Cullen, respectively, looked gorgeous in black.

New BFF?

As it turns out, your fave young stars Dakota Fanning nad Kristen Stewart are off-screen BFF!

The two have worked together in two movies, Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Runaways, in which they were even involved in a steamy girl-girl makeout scene, so spending so much time together really helped them get along well with each other.

At least that’s what the both girls say.

Dakota claims they are really close as if they’ve known each other for ages, and Kristen who looks kind of more depressed and solemn than her new BFF says she’s always “better with her.”

So when the duo had to play enemies in New Moon it was slightly weird for the girls.

I’ve never been such an evil character, and because I do know Kristen so well, being mean to her was really weird. It’s like ‘Sorry, dude!’” Fanning said, adding that she and K Stew talk all the time and actually have the kind of relationship that Joan and Cherie from The Runaways had in the script – “minus the destructive part.”

What about Kristen?

Dakota is one of the most consistently moving actors I have ever worked with. I’m always better with her,” she once said.

Every day is a new Twilight Saga: New Moon clip, that’s cool!

Yesterday’s clip was all about the wolf pack, while today’s clip that premieres on Access Hollywood later in the day, focuses on both Bella’s relationship with Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) and features Edward fighting with the Volturi in Italy.

While featuring some scenes presented before, this new clip shows the never-before-seen footages that look awesome!

Twi-hards, please meet Aro, Marcus, Caius, Alec and Jane, five members of the deadly Voturi family from New Moon.

The first individual character stills have just arrived, and they look awesome! Jane is especially vampire-beautiful.

To understand the characters better, New Moon director Chris Weitz described what lay behind them and what made him picture the Vilturi the way he did.

Chris Weitz said:

No matter how strange one of the characters is in a work of fantasy, I think you have to approach them as people and then so you start to think, ‘They’ve been around for 2,000 years. How would they interact with one another?’ The conclusion was that after 2,000 years you’d probably be more than mildly insane. No matter how cultured or gracious you appear on the surface.

And I think that’s what Michael Sheen managed to portray as Aro, the head of the Volturi – on the surface he’s terribly gracious, warm, a wonderful host and at the same time he’s lethal and frightening.

It’s also what Dakota Fanning conveys as Jane. She’s innocent looking in appearance but she’s absolutely deadly.

Weitz added that creating the setting was as important as working on the characters’ images. He confessed he tried his best to avoid the traditional perception of vampires’ home – a dark and dreary Dracula’s castle:

[Volturi's] headquarters is surprisingly light and crisp. And the characters that they play have a kind of a tactile reality to them in spite of how bizarre their situation is really. The whole point is not to leave Forks, Washington where everything has really been quite realistic and then suddenly go to a location that completely throws you out of the movie. And the set although it’s huge and grand and magnificent actually feels like a real place.”

The Volturi are played by Dakota Fanning (Jane), Cameron Bright (Alec), Michael Sheen (Aro), Christopher Heyerdahl (Marcus), Jamie Campbell Bower (Ciaus), Charlie Bewley (Demetri), Daniel Cudmore (Felix), Noot Seear (Heidi), and Justine Wachsberger (Gianna).

According to Forbes‘ annual list of Hollywood’s Most Valuable Young Stars, Daniel Radcliffe is producers and directors’ first choice when it comes to getting a young and promising actor/ actress under 19 in their project.

The publication praised Harry Potter’s leading actor, 19, for his work in the West End and Broadway Equus, in which he played a teen boy obsessed with horses, the part that let the audience “see him as something else, and that speaks to him as an actor,” Equus producer, Rick Alvarez, said.

Radcliffe was followed by the 16 year-old Miley Cyrus. Disney’s TV series Hannah Montana “has given her a platform to showcase her acting and musical abilities.” Yeah, who’d doubt.

Confirmed: Dakota Fanning joins Twilight sequel

Rumors are confirmed. Finally. Push star and most adorable teen star ever, Dakota Fanning, said she would star in the Twilight sequel, New Moon, that’s out later this year.

Dakota, 15, told Entertainment Weekly she would play Jane, a member of Italy’s evil Volturi.

It would be really cool to do it,” the actress said back in January. “I am a very big fan of the books. I read them all and Jane is an interesting part.”

Dakota will star filming in the nearest future in Vancouver, Canada.
