Britney won her first and second and third Moonman at the VMA 2008. Rehabbing Miss American Dream got the ultimate prize – the Video of the Year!

Upon accepting the award, Spears said:

I’m speechless, oh my goodness, thank you… this is an honor. I first want to thank God first and foremost for just blessing me like this.. um…my beautiful family, my two beautiful boys for inspiring me everyday and my fans… this if for you. Thank you so much.”

But there was one disappointment for all the fans who expected Brit to perform as there were rumors of her rehearsing performance to an unknown new song. As she stepped on the scene audience raised and applaused expecting her performance. Instead, she just greeted everyone and said a few lines.

MTV Video Music Awards will rock LA this weekend. The show’s most intriguing moments have been kept in secret for so long causing a huge tide of all kinds of speculation to appear. There’ve been lots of rumors about the show and performers to hit it, but now we all can take a deep breath and relax. Russell Brand, host of the Sunday show, held a news conference on Thursday revealing some of the hottest VMA 2008 secrets.

Now we know for sure that Britney Spears will open the show though it was just some time ago that all reports claimed she wouldn’t. It was just to create the buzz, definitely. It’s Britney’s chance to rehabilitate her image after her last year’s VMA disastrous performance.

Hope she’ll do everything right this time. “MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs?” Britney said Thursday.

We know who will open the show and we also know who will close it. It’s Kanye West. And his performance is really something we could never expect to happen. The thing is that he was really upset at last year’s VMA for being shut out of all five categories, in which he was nominated, that he was quoted as saying he would “never return to MTV.” Never say never.

Moreover, this show will debut Christina Aguilera’s new single ‘Keeps Getting Better,’ which is also the name of her best-of album, due this November.

“You’re going to get a first listen at my new sound. The last album, the style and sound was about vintage glam – this one is all about the future,” Aguilera told reporters.

T.I. will also debut a new song with Rihanna.

The Jonas Brothers are also to perform, according to Brand, who called them “God’s favorite virgins.” It’s probable that young country star Taylor Swift will introduce the band. That’s “a decision made from below their [the Jonas Brothers’] sexy little waists,” Brad noted.

And one more thing. ‘I kissed a girl’ singer Katy Perry will hit the show to perform… ‘Like a virgin’ for you guys. “There’s a lot of virginity and lesbianism going on at the show,” Russell joked during the press conference.

So it’s gonna be the 25th annual awards telecast, so make sure you don’t have any major plans for Sunday night. You just can’t miss it!

It’s been a while since we saw Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake together. It’s been 6 years, actually. So anyway, it’s not that I’m gonna elaborate on the they-made-such-a-great-couple idea, it’s all in the past. No romance. Just business, baby. The pair, who dated in their teens and split in 2002 after dating for four years, are reported to finally be teaming up for a long-awaited duet for Britney’s next album, due next year.

“They’re planning to record a duet – a dance track – for her new album,” a source close to the singer reportedly told Life & Style magazine.

Meanwhile, the insider is quoted as saying JT’s feedback on Brit-Brit’s new music is “really positive.”

Britney seemed to have been avoiding meeting her ex for all these years. They didn’t really keep in touch. They planned a duet for her Blackout album (2008) but that time wasn’t the easiest in Britney’s life – she was too busy dealing with her down-the-spiral life – and never showed up at the recording session last August.

Moreover, Britney refused to see Justin at the VMA’s in 2007 when he wanted to wish her good luck before the performance. Was it JT’s failure to wish luck to blame for her disastrous show that time? At least, it sounds like a good excuse.

Anyway, it’s all different now. Britney is really excited about her next album calling it her “best work ever,” and hope JT’s contribution will help her prove it’s true.

The last song Britney and Justin made together was ‘What it’s like to be me’ for Spears’ Britney album in 2001.

Well, maybe some time soon we’ll see them performing together, who knows. And here’s probably one of their first duets ever made recorded during one of Mickey Mouse Club’s concerts back in early 90s.

Pharrell of N.E.R.D. has known and worked with Britney Spears for many years now. At the Pepsi 500 Running Wide Open party in Hollywood which Pharrell co-hosted, the star talked to Hollyscoop.com about Britney and her three VMA nominations this year:

I’m not sure [if she will win]. I don’t even know if it really matters whether she wins or not.

She’s super-talented. She’s an entertainer.”

The two worked on ‘I’m a Slave 4 U’ and ‘Boys’ from Britney album and he also wrote and produced ‘Why Should I Be Sad’ on the latest album ‘Blackout.’

Angelina Jolie is the most popular celebrity name used by spammers to tempt people into opening unsolicited email, according to new research, reports Telegraph.co.uk

In July 2.28 per cent of all the emails sent contained her name somewhere in the subject field. In total the number grew to 12 million messages. Most of the spam messages detected by internet Security Company Secure Computing last month had prurient subject lines like “Angelia Jolie naked” or “Angelina Jolie nude movie”.

Jolie’s name was used as “link bait” four times more often than Barack Obama, whose name came out second in the survey. While Wanted actress is at #1, Bush’s favorite, the ‘wanted’ guy Osama Bin Laden is at the #8

“Spammers use the names of celebrities - frequently with a sexual twist - to encourage people to open emails which often contain damaging viruses,” writes Matthew Moore.

When clicking on what appear to be video link within the email, computer user downloads malicious files known as Trojans which can take over, attack, and scan data from machines.

“Spam is the delivery medium of choice for social engineering schemes to create a tempting lure for consumers,” said Dr Sven Krasser of Secure Computing. Fucking spammers! I hate them.

The TV spots for the VMA will star Russell Brand the host, and Miss Britney Spears. In the video spots Britney looks her best, she’s fresh and fabulous, and is very natural.

Britney has been nominated in the Best Female and Best Video categories for ‘Piece of Me’.

Brand will be hosting the awards which take place in Los Angeles on September 7.

These ads feature the two alongside an elephant who is ‘comically ignored’. Elephant’s presence is a reference to the phrase “The elephant in the room” which is used when someone ignores an embarrassing personal fact about their companion.

John McCain has found a terrible word to call his opponent Barack Obama. In two recent ads, McCain has called Obama the “c-word.”

That’s right: McCain is accusing Obama of being a celebrity. McCain’s now famous “Celeb” ad featured pictures of Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Obama giving a speech to a huge crowd in Germany. The voice-over said: “He’s the biggest celebrity in the world. But, is he ready to lead? With gas prices soaring, Barack Obama says no to offshore drilling. And says he’ll raise taxes on electricity. Higher taxes, more foreign oil, that’s the real Obama.”

To me, accusing a presidential candidate of being a celebrity is like accusing a ballerina of dancing on her toes - it sort of defines what the person is - but maybe I just don’t get it. “
